Intense thrash metal meets metalcore. Often fast, lots of gallops double, bass drums, and vocals were you can understand what he’s saying. Mix classic Swedish metal, hardcore breakdowns, and classic thrash and you have Himsa. This isn’t far from Lamb of God or At the Gates. The band is from Seattle
1. Full on metal guitar attack not unlike Iron Maiden. Fast and somewhat relentless.
**2. Less techie and more gallops and really reminds me of bands like Lamb of God.
**3. Starts with melodic guitar then kicks into gallop heaven. The song is more melodic overall but the double bass drums and gallops never seem to let up.
4. After Iron Maiden style into the track moves into speedy hardcore sound. It alternates between the two sounds throughout the song. The last minute of the track is not heavy.
**5. Sounds like an updated version of Testament/Slayer. Ends with quick Slayer-esk solo.
6. More melodic guitars but still heavy and a touch of the Swedish sound. Odd crowd noises in the middle. Longer solo.
7. Faster, simpler, heavier at the start. Tight quick runs on the guitar later in the song. The track appears to end, but a great Iron Maiden-ike sample and melodic guitars show up an the track….this runs into the next track. My guess is the CD is indexed wrong and what your hearing is the beginning of track 8.
8. The intro really makes this track, so find it on track 7 and play it along with 8. Nice quick riff with a melodic chorus. The riff is repeated a few too many times but not enough to destroy the track.
**9. Big drums and big sounding intro into speedy thrash. Brutal sounding.
10. A catchy melodic riff.
11. Straight forward. Quick with circular sounding riffs. Longer solo.
Good stuff. -mph
