Interesting tribal/progressive house here. All tracks feature nice basslines, and very interesting instrumentation on the beats with various tribal and world instruments. All tracks have tripped-out echoed vox. My Picks: a1, b1
a1(the side with the writing) Minimal tribal house with little kids chanting and guitar riffing. Sounds strange I know, but it totally works! Really sick bass enters about a minute or two in and synths too. Very original ambiguously world feel. Under 120 bpm, and features that unique paradoxical blend that is between tribal and progressive; something Danny Tenaglia would start a set with. a2) Round bout 130 bpm this time. Haunting sythns, ultra-distorted vox muttering “hypnotize” and bouncy bass give a really trippy effect. Also somewhere between tribal and progressive. b1) Really excellent production here. Funky bassline, echo-y snyths, atmospheric vox. Sort of a tub track but with really interesting cut up rhythms. Hard to explain, give it a listen. b2) Very psychodelic house with vox muttering “move your hips” and are xylophones (?). Bass was a bit thin here. Probably the weakest effort of the album.
