Arrgh! Just throw festering monkeyshit on the Strokes & all of their trendy, rich-kid shithead brethern ‘cause this band is the REAL DEAL! The Put-Ons are super catchy & rockin’ that strangely built bridge between new wave & punk - or better yet, they reach back to the time when those terms were nearly interchanable 1974-76. If you dig bands like: Television, the Modern Lovers, early Joe Jackson, Televison & early Lou Reed you’ll REALLY dig this! Both sides come highly recommended!

SIDE 1: Nice, bright guitar sound, KILLER 70’s power-pop blending with 1975-76-ish punk/new wave ‘ala The Modern Lovers, Lou Reed, Television. Perfect!

SIDE 2: Take the melody from some 70’s punk/new wave tune you’ve heard a gazillion times but can’t put your finger on (and really *I* still can’t!) mixed with in-credible vocals that somehow mix together Joe Jackson, Joey Ramone (minus the overt “Noo Yawk” accent. R.I.P, Joey we miss ‘ya!) and Tom Verlaine. Nice.
