A live set from Rempis and friends from Chicago. The disc starts off with some Vandermark-style free-bop then heads into more abstract territory for the bulk of the album. Rempis is a consummate improviser, though I feel like he doesn’t get to stretch out as much here as he does as a sideman. Baker on piano, violin and (tasteful) electronics seems to wield a lot of influence on the proceedings, but that’s certainly not a bad thing.

*1. Jazzy free-bop, gets pretty mellow at the end
2. Scattery piano solo
*3. Bass solo start, builds to crazy finish
4. Stately piano solo, then mellow flute
5. Electronics! sparse and blippy
6. Quiet, sparse abstract
7. Piano led modal ballad
