Ah yes - the Lubricated ones! These crazy Aussies were serious overlooked in the 90’s. Stu Spasm & co. re-recorded some of their best tunes over their 4+ LPs. They don’t necessarily improve the tunes per se, but there’s they still sound fresh & serious rockin’ & fucked up. L.G. mixed up Killdozer, early Alice Cooper and other 70’s hard rock and gave that killer Aussie r n’r vibe that should be implanted in your brain by now (ex: AC/DC, The Saints, et. al.)
((((1)))) Not quite as awesome as the original (which appeared on the classic “Dope, Guns and Fucking In The Street” Vol 1. I think the mention of “cock & balls” here ain’t an FCC ‘cause it’s not talking sexual - it’s about how it’s frying in the electric chair. Anyway, mid-tempo 70’s hardrock/punk action.
(((2))) More 70’s hard-rock with a bit of a Bonham/JP Jones-laden funk action. Not really their best tune but still very entertaining.
(((3))) Basic mid-tempo hard rock/dirty 70’s punk with squealing guitars. Ugly vocals & catchy choruses & riffing.
(((4))) Another case where the original is better that this re-make. Still, this is a nice plodding sort of funky yet stompin’ rocker.
(((5))) Tweaked out guitar noodling.
((((6))) a really catchy & rippin’ vibe. This was orignally done by the excellent side band he had with his (then) wife Kat Bjelland of Babes In Toyland & Judah Bower of the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. Awesome stuff!
((((7)))) Some tight riffing & guitar wailing if you like anything that’s loud & rockin’ - then you SHOULD like this one!
(((8))) Weird very Aussie tale (mentions “chips” and “poofta”) of some one who is...well, very unpopular (FCC 1:14 “get fucked”) rhymic wild-ass stuff with a few slices of riffing that sound like the theme to the movie “Halloween”.
((9)) This one’s conceputally funny but nothing too interesting muscially. 70’s heavy rock but not in a good way.
((((10)))) One of their best tunes. Super-killer Stooges/early Alice Cooper uptempo number. Rockin’ as fuck!!!
((11)) Basic shuffle-pattern tune, kind of like a so-so Stooges outtake.
