An amazing electroacoustic improvisation group from Norway. Dark and brooding yet beautiful. Very patient, sometimes busy. Some jazz (#2). Often ambient yet with acoustic drums. These 4(?) have such a language and connection between each other that a lot of the times it sounds like one person playing with electronics and keyboards. Most of the electronics are played by the guy who is Deathprod. The sounds are varied. From very dark electronics heavy tracks, to jazz, and even sounds like Godspeed You! Black Emperor. That said, this is one of the more unique sounding discs I’ve heard in a while.

**1. Starts very quiet, builds slowly and has lots of different electronic sounds. Has a really dark sound track feeling. Not the sort of sound I’d want to hear walking down a dark ally.
**2. Another long track that begins very quiet. A beautiful yet dark jazz track with some great trumpet playing. The drummer does so much while playing so little and quiet. Reminds me of 70s jazz ballads.
3. More of a modern classical electroacoustic feel. Noisier with few hints of what might happen from second to second. Some glass or bell like sounds show up. About 5 minutes into the track it gets quiet and stays quiet for nearly 5 minutes. The track never grabs my interest again after it gets quiet.
**4. Like a lot of the other tracks this track starts very quiet. There is a guitar on this track and it’s more of an ambient sound, not far from Godspeed You! Black Emperor. A very pretty track which at times also reminds me of Sigur Ros.
5. Waves of keyboard and electronic sound that build in intensity and even get loud. Shorter track as well.
6. You know by now how this track starts…..quiet. This track has some minimal piano playing and something sound like a voice but I don’t think it is. Maybe it is a female voice? Various quiet percussion.
GREAT! stuff. -mph
