In the City Tonight

Boyjazz "In the City Tonight" - Two guys doing some tough rock music. All of these songs sound super familiar (and some must be "covers" of some sort). The drums (electronic I think) are pounding, the guitars are fuzzed out and tough, the vocals are yelled/sung like a tough rocker at a stadium concert (plenty of reverb). The lyrics however are pretty goofy. This must be a joke. In that respect it's kind of funny. All of the songs sound pretty much the same and have a very AC/DC quality to them. Perhaps if I liked that kind of music more I'd love this, but it really just hits me kind of flat. If you dig that hard rock style you should check it out. Besides, the song titles are worth a chuckle.

1) Fuzzy harsh guitars along with a pounding uptempo beat. Vocals are slightly distorted. Tough attitude.
2) Hard rock guitars. Fast midtempo/uptempo. Again vocals have the same slightly distorted quality.
3) Uptempo with pounding drums and very repetitive fuzzed out guitar hits.
4) Uptempo and tough. Very goofy lyrics. Fades out with a wind sound.
5) Midtempo swagger. Hand claps and tough guitar line. These lyrics are just too weird.
6) Fast midtempo/uptempo. Heavy guitars. This sounds a lot like "T.N.T." by AC/DC. Fcc: says "motherfucker"
7) Faster midtempo. Hard tough guitar line. Fcc: says "motherfucker" a few times.
8) Uptempo drums into a harsh rockin' guitar line. Again goofy lyrics.
9) Uptempo with heavy tough guitars. Fcc: says "fuck" a few times.
10) Fast midtempo with some seriously fuzzed out guitar. A more interesting beat. Pretty ridiculous lyrics.
11) Midtempo rocker. Nice tom-tom work on drums. Hand claps too.
12) Fast midtempo with pounding drums and guitar. Yells "Chula" over and over. Some "dirty talk" in there in Spanish. Not sure what it says, perhaps it's real dirty talk and perhaps it's just something silly.
