Wow! Lovely dark trip hop/hip hop. Real straight forward and flowing production. The mood is set effortlessly. Very much in the same vein as dj shadow’s endtroducing and UNKLE. Guest MC’s Buck 65 and Sage Francis are perfect fits with dj signify’s tempo. About half the tracks have an MC, which I note in the track descriptions. Beautiful stuff. Recommended. 1) dark atmosphere with steady beat with interesting vocal samples.2) MC.light plucking sounds, solid beat, with some great mc vocals. 3) science fiction type sounds with fluttering drum beat. 4) MC.**FCC** shit. Much like track #2, but with crackling production and distant horns.The song is about a trip gone wrong. 5) abstract, no beat, crowd samples, tweaked sounds, becomes rhythmic later. ((6)) MC. bouncy horn based beats with catchy lyrics. (((7))) MC. Acoustic sounding serious production with lyrics about a surprise pregnancy. 8) Organ-like sounds, wizzing short. 9) Fast paced, action movie 10) Slick, sneaky music. Sexy woman clips ((11)) MC. LOTS of FCC’s – light piano with nicely flowing lyrics and basic beat.((12)) turntable effects, squeaky toy, vocal samples. Sounds fade in and out from each other. No steady beat.13) MC. Nice beats w/ whispy sounds.14) trip hop w/ pretty sung notes.15) break16) MC. Fast paced organic beat w/ chords. Forced poetry.17) slow brooding. Breaks into some nice beats and turntablism. Long. Ends at ~6.5 min >> Hidden track at 10:20. FCC. MC organ and drum beat. | ||
