Leibig / Vactcher / Golia – On the Cusp of Fire and Water

Largely abstract improv session from LA bassist Leibig and sax master Golia along with European percussionist Vactcher. Most tracks are pretty sparse and quiet, with the notable exception of #4. Leibig favors a heavily processed bass sound which contrasts nicely with the more English-style improv sounds of the others.

1. Spare start builds to bubbly improv, then fades
2. Mellow flute, Golia switches to sax midway through then picks up
3. Scattered noises then ballad
**4. Speedy groove with flowing sax
*5. Starts with plinking percussion, slowly builds with clarinet leading the way. Starting around (-7:00) things get busy with a nice quirky groove.
