Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2004-07-22
Spooky sick synths with sicker vocals. Noisey electronics and distorted guitar, weird. More bastard mutated descentdants of Throbbing Gristle. Like something its electroclash mother is ashamed of, whose rapist father beat and sodomized its entire childhood. This stuff is fucked up and truly a thing of beauty. Think Wolf Eyes, F/i, Hunting Lodge, Caroliner Rainbow, and noisy Crack WAR.

1) near goth spoken word over slow spooky synths
2) noise synths ratchet up a notch, still slow and spooky, vocals switch to slow melodies
3) upbeat rhythmic. Piercing slowly phrased vocals
4) more of a wall of guitar and vocs, heavy
5) sick noisy analog synths amidst lovely echo, instrumental
6) classic sample/hold/random Moog tones sound great, brief instrumental
7) trippy synth noise intro, turns dark evil with sick vocs, treated
8) real sounding drums, a slow beat, fairly minimal when a guitar led cacophony isn’t occurring
9) simple casio beat
10) slow minimal meandering, beats, backwards tones and vocs
11) noisy strange melodies, no “drums”, pleasing low rumble ends cold
12) guitar figures in this noise collage
