Album Review

Folk sing/songwriter with a backpack. Only acoustic guitar and vocals, SF-based Naomi delivers a lovely album, if not original or groundbreaking. Her voice is nice, right for the genre, clear but can be scratchy – just like the guitar. Lyrics about love and travel/backpacking (get in the spirit by reading the quote from Chile’s Torres del Paine on the cover). An album for a lonely night in the Himalayas.
The tracks are all good, I liked 2, 8 and 9 most.

1. Joni Mitchell referenced appropriately. Mid tempo.
2. * Slow, delicate and powerful at the same time. *
3. Mid tempo, backing female vox.
4. Mid/slow tempo, cute vox.
5. Mid/faster.
6. Gentle picking, slow, high pitched vox.
7. Mellow, nice.
8. * Nice strumming, breezy and cool. *
9. * Quiet, slow, nice vox.*
