Uchihashi Kazuhisa & Gene Coleman – Sorobo Imp.
Sparse, abstract atmospheric improv featuring bass clarinet along with prepared guitar and electronics on some tracks and the “daxophone” (a strange sounding bowed percussion instrument) on others. The prepared guitar has a nice abstract burble to it, but the daxophone can make an amazing variety of interesting noises.
*1. Squeaking and plinking Baileyish guitar w/ electronics
2. Short jumpy improv
3. Subdued, rumbling clarinet
4. Grunting and scraping
*5. Percussive squeaks and short bursts of percussion build to fast jumble
*6. Quiet rumbling to start, builds very slowly
7. Metitative guitar/electronics with bass clarinet punctuations
