Mala Leche "Mala Leche" – Debut album for this L.A. indie rock trio. Mostly it's filled with simple guitars, bass, drums, and sometimes some keyboards. Vocals are male ranging from nice harmonies to yelling. Some songs are definitely more indie and light sounding and a few throw in a bit more of a heavier rock attitude. Overall the lyrics are odd and the music is pretty solid. Nothing on here is amazing, but it's still all quite good and worth checking out.

1)Fades in with light simple guitar. Midtempo with quick lyrical delivery. Nice vocal harmonies here and there. With about a minute left it gets a bit more rockin' and vocals are distorted.
2)Fades in with simple strumming and “ah-ah” vocals. Falls into a solid midtempo tune. Odd lyrics but the whole song has a light almost party attitude.
3)Possible FCC: It talks about vaginas A LOT in this song. Personally I don't find it offensive, but you may want to be careful. Menacing guitar line with uptempo beat. Driving beat that builds.
4)Starts with a solid bass line. Faster midtempo rocker. Dark moody feel.
5)Slowly fades in with a dragging midtempo quiet tune. Light and airy feel to it.
6)Solid midtempo with a slight bounce. Fun and happy, but still subdued.
7)Harder drums and guitar. Heavy bass with a pounding faster midtempo beat. Short instrumental.
8)Solid midtempo with a moody feel. Picks up tempo part way through.
9)Plodding midtempo with a heavier rock feel. Yelled rough vocals.
10)Solid midtempo with a menacing feel. Lightens mood at the chorus and then goes dark again.
11)Starts with some faster midtempo guitar strumming. A little angry.
12)Slow plodding bass line. After about 30 sec. guitar and drums come in loud and fast. Uptempo and fun. Odd lyrics.
