Chamber jazz with a spritely 1920s Euro-cafe feel throughout. All nice and warm, with pulsing tempos and a feel of constant motion. Bright and formal without being too serious.

Here's the gimmick: These are old Steve Swallow compositions arranged by Talmud for a chamber group led by Swallow's famous bass (that often sounds like a Spanish guitar) and Talmud's sax. Talmud based the whole project on Stravinsky's "Soldier's Tale," using nearly the same instrumentation and striving for similar atmosphere.

1- With swingy violin. Happy mood. Constant "pulse" feel, like a modern chamber piece.
2- Moody, with mid-to-fast tempos but a melancholy overhang
3- Patient midtempo
4- Slowish, and *really* like chamber music
5- Midtempo. Catchy riff with some good mini-solos early on.
6- Slow, sweet
7- Peacful mid/fast conclusion, very classical feel
