Accessible near-mainstream quartet that carries a loungy sound -- due mostly to Peter Madsen's piano -- but is full of flair and adventure. Tony Malaby on sax, especially soproano sax, plays with a warble that provides a nice edgy feel. Faster tracks (7) cut loose, while slower ones (1,6) present some thoughtful jazz improv. Really nice stuff.

- Subdued & loungy but with odd, soured tones. A coolly mysterious air.
- Mid/fast and thumpy, with heavy pitter-patter theme
- Bluesy and fairly fast
- Mid/fast jumble. 20 seconds long!
- Perky, upbeat, melodic. Fast piano solo.
- Slow, exploratory
- Fast, dark piano riff. Crazy sax solo.
- Mid/fast modern bebop
- Midtempo tumbling. Actually a fast track but has a slow-motion feel.
- Fairly fast
