Mainstream piano trio. It's got a conservative sound, but Williams infuses her playing with plenty of personality and splashy verve -- check out the clustery runs in the opening seconds of #1 just for starters. Tracks are long (6+ minutes) and include substantial creative solos. A treat for fans of traditional sounds. As a side note -- the band are all living legends (Williams on piano, Ray Drummond on bass, Victor Lewis on drums) ... and the session was recorded hereabouts, at Yoshi's.

- A happy stride, nicely bluesy
- Slow
- Brisk
- A semi-tough bluesy step (a creative change of pace) that moves into bluesy midtempo soloing. Nice original composition.
- Slow and delicate, with fun high-register soloing
- Midtempo, with mind-bending piano exercises at the start
- Slow, but builds in intensity
- Slow, gentle
- Calmly playful Monk cover
