If John Lee Hooker had been raised in Mali, he’d have founded this group. Desert blues featuring call/response vocals, flute, percussion, and serious guitars. This is great stuff, folks. Energetic, passionate, and just damned fun to listen to.
*1. Great call/response vocals, perc, guitars. Midtempo.
*2. Uptempo showcase for guitars/vox.
3. Relaxed w/strong guitar work. It grows on you, this one.
4. Saharan rap for solo vox & chorus. At times a capella. Slower.
*5. Nice guitar/vocal/perc groove. Uptempo w/good energy.
6. A nice blend of voices/strings/percussion. Swaying, midtempo.
*7. Great vocals in a relaxed blend of strings/perc/flute.
*8. Cool, driving, good energy. A catchy, head-nodding sound.
9. Dark, slower, spare at times. Atmospheric and very cool.
10. A nice groove featuring great guitar work & vocals. Lively.
12. Like a Zen chant. Flute, droning vocals, a meditative sound.
