Sonore (Brotzmann / Gustafsson / Vandermark) – No One Ever Works Alone

When you see those 3 names at the top of an album, it can only mean one thing: saxophone orgy. Full speed ahead, captain! All tracks are excellent.

1. Brash wailing turns more introspective
2. Pretty mellow, with a few loud bursts
3. Staccato bursts drop abruptly to leave bass clarinet, then builds from there
4. Klaxon-like tarogoto beginning, rapidly gets sparse followed by a long solo section, and finally ending with slow group work
5. Quiet, introspective, (almost) normal
6. Solo, then Ayleresque cacophony, then more melodic playing
7. Moody background with ectastic wail
