Pretty 4-track bedroom-recording guitar music. As the CD case says, one woman in a room by herself. Mostly instrumental. Lots of slide playing and finger picked acoustic guitar in the Fahey school mixing modern ideas and old folk and blues playing. Some of the tracks don’t seem to go anyplace but there are also some good moments.
**1. Starts out slow and beautiful. She then gets on a riff, repeats it a few times and moves on to the next riff.
2. Slow pretty finger picking. Somewhat of a minimalist idea of changing the track slowly and only a small amount with each change.
3. Darker and sadder sounding.
4. Slight middle eastern sound
5. A couple layered guitars not always sounding coherent.
6. Vocals. Hmm..
This didn’t grab me. -mph
