Energy jazz -- improvised stuff that keeps a "jazz" feel and frequently slips into fast, crashing jams. Lineup is piano, sax, and drums, although Futterman will switch from piano to a second saxophone occasionally. On piano, he'll play fast spiky Cecil Taylor stuff but can also pour on the thick, McCoy Tyner kinds of chords that make life worth living (see #3).

- Tumbling piano attack; fierce from the get-go.
- Bass clarinet, mostly slow with some fast patches
- Stormy Coltrane territory, with big piano chords. Starts with plain sax.
- Fairly fast. Two-sax start; piano revs up c.-8:00.
- Stacatto piano jabs, a short study. Ends w/ringing chords
- Fast. A bold Coltrane mood, then a quiet 4 minute ending.
