Oh yeah! Algerian born, Paris-based. The first 3 tracks are covers of the Clash’s “Rock the Casbah.” And the casbah rocks in a truly new way with a rai-infused, body-shaking groove. There’s a tongue-in-cheek quality to these versions that adds a thin slice of irony, if not anger.. Lyrics in Arabic (with English chorus). Guests include Brian Eno, Hossam Ramzy, and the Egyptian String Ensemble. Play it all, play it often, play it for me if you love me.

1. Crank it up and dance.
2. And keep dancing. Just like 1, but longer.
3. Wicked cool instrumental version w/serious perc/guitars/strings.
4. Dark, at times angry blend of vocals/programming/perc/strings. Mid/uptempo & very cool.
