Great! Torchy 4AD noir-pop with some jazz touches. I'm reminded of Mazzy Star, the Cowboy Junkies, This Mortal Coil, and Devics. Is this what the kids call goth? Very dramatic, affected, and sexy. Features the voice of Jennifer Charles who sounds like that of Hope Sandoval infused with the energy and vengeance of P.J. Harvey. Instrumentation is pretty spare, often just a rhythm groove, but sometimes features jazzy piano and even Indian instruments. No FCCs. stand-out tracks: 8, 2, 3, 4, 5

1. draggy, sultry
==> 2. bass line driven, brush-off song
==> 3. upbeat, bouncey grove, very P.J.
==> 4. Indian feel, tablas, sitar
==> 5. noir jazz, swinging, piano, voice, and drums
6. male/female duet, claustrophobic with piano
7. spare, heartbeat-like groove, twinkling piano
==> 8. baritone sax, sexy, quirky
9. slow-burning, spare
10. draggy, dramatic
11. nothing here, just silence
12. ghostly instrumental, piano and musical saw(?)
