Dion McGregor – The Further Somnlioquies Of... This album is absofuckingloutely amazing. Dion McGregor dreams out loud. Not just talking in his sleep, but dreaming, complete with warped perspective shifts, fantastic situations, perverted sex scenes and other manifestations of twisted dream logic. His roommate at the time (in the 60s) stayed up all night with a tape recorder and documented thousands of hours of dreams for posterity. This is the third album that’s been released of this fascinating cache. Beware though.. the recording is poor and quiet and sometimes it takes a while to figure out what’s going on. You will not be sorry if you do.. it’s not often you get to listen in on someone else’s brain! 1. Twisted scavenger hunt turns very sour indeed. Switches from announcer to participant in a flash. Dion turns out to be a bit of a sore loser 2. Mom got some x-ray glasses.. naughty mum! *3. Do “The Snail”.. The latest dance craze? ****4. Don’t eat the poisoned eclair! 5. Mangoes.. *6. He’s running a home for retired circus freaks *7. In this epsiode, he’s founded the first city for midgets *8. A chance to relive his best days is tempting.. but Dion wants to live in the future! **9. People float down on snowflakes, but what happens when they start to melt? ***10. Improvised children’s rhyme **11. Encounters with a randy older lady, but he gets indignant when the butler wants to watch. *****12. It’s snail time!! Do the snail! Oh yeah! Complete with dance contest. **13. The car needs a bit of repair, but the repairman has other ideas. ***14. A rocket has landed in the backyard, hilarity ensues. ***15. Extremely passionate about some kind of top? ****16. Trying to sell a mansion.. of Horrors! ***17. A tenant has a taste for babies and the cops are on to him, time for an eviction! *18. She’s come back to life? ****19. It’s raining cats & dogs.. “They’re really piling up out there!”. Then things get weird. ******20. A heist of the Mona Lisa.. and he gets away with it? 21. Trying to put up the Christmas tree (with a few mishaps) ****22. FCC: “asshole” A military maneuver to watch an exotic dance. 23. A day at the beach ends with a beach monster sighting and Dion falling out of bed (in real life). 24. Marching into the ocean (also ends with falling out of bed) 25. Short outro | ||
