Great stuff from the avant-jazz trio of Tim Berne (sax), Marc Ducret (guitar), and Tom Rainey (drums), plus David Torn adding manipulations and knob-twiddling occasionally (see #9)

This is free jazz with complex writing that launches fast, coherent group jams. Ducret's guitar frequently lets sparks fly with heavy distortion, although he and Berne can also paint chiming, crystalline figures (1, 4). Berne's sax is energetic throughout, as is Rainey's often intense drumming.

- Chiming acoustic calmness. Later, searing electric guitar with mid-intensity sax.
- Choppy R2D2 sounds
- Fast confusing attack!
- Stumbing-fast group work, after mid/fast, mid/quiet intro
- Slow interlude
- Fast, loud, very high energy once it gets going. Drum solo opens.
- Tumbling, fast. Middle gets spacey and contemplative, but still fast.
- Nine second bit: "You have to admit it's a pretty intense town."
- Upbeat and oddly melodic. LOTS of effects and twiddling from Torn. Spacey, fast, nearly BPM feel.
