Really funky comp. great mix of some hip-hop, experimental, noise, and techno. There's some really interesting ans innovative stuff on here and the guys bring music from all over onto the mix. There's some really high powered stuff and some really chill laid back yoga music. All the tracks are pretty long (6/7 min.s). Recommended tracks: 3,4, 7, 11
Track 1: FCCs. motherfucker in background. And one verse aboout2 min.s in fuck every other word.
Track 2: crazy mix of electronic sounds in cacophony of confusion. Layers sounds for a while. Major drums and distortion. Doesn't sound like any sort of predetermined structure. Kind of cycles and builds with drums. Some R2D2 sounds in there.
Track 3: cool techno sounding. Slows down and remixes. Same melody in the background all the way through. Keeps some of the experimental randoming sounding shit. Very melodic and calming. Like listening to yoga music in an outerspace video game.
Track 4: Great opening. Good power music and build. Nice lead guitars with strong bass support. 3 main melodies, varies and repeats in a really cool way. Awesome transitions btwn melodies.
Track 5: Back to much more experimental. voice, fades in and out. Melody in the back is all the same. sounds a little more frantic but in a really supressed way.
Track 6: Noise. Drums, distorted guitar, guy screaming in the back. Planned series of chords, lots of pauses. Nice dissonance. Short.
Track 7: etheral sounding-like underwater. Keyboard and held flowy music. Percussion in the background helps move forward. 3 very different layers mixing together in a really complementary way. Fades out.
Track 8: Starts off with radio sounding static-becomes more electric, crescendos to motorcylce engine sound. builds and falls.
Track 9: All same melody but layered and mixed in really interesting ways. guitars, drums, (maybe bass), Voice comes in about 1/2 way through. Voices are like music in the first part, layered in rad fashion.
Track 10: Voice in this also. Much more traditional. Draws from a lot of oldies. Builds into kind of insane punding cycle.
Track 11- Starts out with Spanish sounding guitar and accordian. Fades in. Fem vox. Guitar gentles and ties together. Voice is half singing/half speaking. Kind of emo. Sounds like tree people music.
Track 12: fades in. voice is majorly distorted. Like Tom Waits "god is out on business." Repeated cycle. Techno-y Club music. 30 sec.s of silence @the end.
