Depsite all the showmanship of GWAR, sometimes they can make some really great metal tunes. Most of these are in the vein of classic GWAR but with a flair for old speed metal ex: Overkill, Nasty Savage, Hallow’s Eve or even Carnivore. The latter half of the album is mostly uninspired dross, though.
(((((1))))) Full-on thrash mixed up with a apocalyptic-a-go-go mix (FCC “fuck” 1:51 )
((((2)))) Solid Exodus/Nasty Savage-like ripper with lyrics that take the Cows’ “Peacetika” a step further.
(((((3)))) Fast thudding speed metal and mid-tempo sound. ( FCC “fuck” -1:29 & -0:27)
(4) Slow, boring - “just there”. Skip it!
(((5))) Solid punk riffing but rather sloppy vocal delievery like Lee Ving wacked out on stereoids & too much Solider Of Fortune..
(((6))) Pretty good effort that’s help with a little Hallow’s Eve & Overkill in the mix.
(7) Plodding & severly dull. Funny lyrics, though.
(8) This had to have been a part of the show. It’s too bad this song’s just pseudo-death metal and generic tough-guy “hardcore”‘cause the lyrics are sooo funny!
((((9)))) Fast, killer punk n’ metal machine ‘ala Motorhead but with French lyrics. I think some of it’s pretty foul stuff, too!
((10)) Almost decent, mid-tempo then drags on & on...Nothing worth you hearing, move along...
(11) Slower that the last track but pretty much phoning it in. Zzzzzz.
