Quirky technopop from NYC underground, many songs from a robot’s point of view. Good stuff.
1.mid-slow, semi-rapped verses, “I am the robot in your town”
2.FCC “I want to fuck the human race”x4 mid-slow. Not James Brown
+3.Wacky l337 braggadocio. “You’re the world’s worst hacker and I’m the world’s best programmer” Simple music, it’s all about the delivery. Though I am disappointed because this appeared on an outsider music CD in our a-file a year or two ago, and this clearly is not an outsider.
+4.Cute pop song with “natural” instruments and human vocals, welcome break from the 8 bit synths. This was in our afile on a single last year, go ahead and play it again.
5.very 80’s new-wave love song, parody of the style
-/+6.Slow, kinda slinky tribute to creators of “East End Boys West End Girls” Seems blah at first but by the end I thought it was pretty cool.
7. standard electroclash. Some dog barking sounds at end. Johnny Cash cover.
8.off-key singing, buzzy guitar-like riff, still electro but more rock
+9.warbly synth vocal sounds, silly suave machine
10. nearly indecipherable layered/distorted vocals, changing beats
+11.Human vocals, impressionist lyric. Drum machine low in mix, simple bassline, synth mostly plays drawn out notes with just enough buzz.
+12. Noisy electro. Sexual prowess bragging w/Jewish angle. questionable verse about gay adolescent sex w/cantor. Peaches lite/Atom & His Package dark.
+13.Technopop, human singing soars the poet’s name in chorus. Speeds up.
