Very retro set, a '60s bebop kind of sound. Bright, upbeat pieces with melodic themes. Dave Corbus' guitar helps keep a mellow nightclub vibe to the whole thing, even on faster tracks. Nothing groundbreaking or challenging here -- in fact it's a bit too faithful to the past -- but it's a nice mainstream session that had me tapping my feet.

*1- Mid/fast, nice stormy piano
*2- Fast, packs a bit of punch
3- Light, mid/fast
4- Slow
*5- Mid/fast, squirrely sax solo early on
*6- Upbeat soul, kind of mellow. Bright piano.
7- Mid/fast urban bop
8- Herky-jerky swing, mid/fast. Some cute piano tricks.
9- Pleasant, midtempo
*10- Mid/fast, tricky theme.
11- Cool and hip, mid/fast
