Machine & The Synergetic Nuts – Leap Second Neutral

Energetic Japanese old-school fusion, with nods to Miles and Canterbury prog. They mix in some modern sounds (like breakbeat style drums and noisy solos) with the throwback synths and guitar noodles for a nice effect.

*1. Fast fusiony “In a Silent Way” start, then gets loud
*2. Mysterious fast noir-soundtrack groove
3. Light groove, shows bits of the bland “dark side” of fusion
4. Slinky understated groove turns into elevator music
*5. Intense, driving groove
6. Slow start, then bouncy funk
7. Ponderous & loud
*8. Agitated motion, a bit of psych
9. Mellow elevator ballad
