Awesome thundering, loud & rockin’ indie rock. Harkening back to Dino Jr., Sonic Youth (especially the vocals), Seaweed, Mudhoney and even Blue Cheer. It doesn’t matter if this is an ode to the past or if the band’s just trying something different - this album has a KILLER guitar sound and all of the songs have serious staying power. ((((1)))) Screwball J. Mascis-like loud & loopy guitars crossed with Seaweed/Sonic Youth style vocals. (((((2))))) Fuckin’ PERFECT ‘89-’91 era Northwest Rawk. Heavy riffin’, melodic, ((((3)))) Big, strummin’ & poppy sound. (((((4)))) Unholy levels of distortion, mid-paced & loud thudding sorta psych. ((((5))))gorgeous yet heavy melodic breakdowns, riffs that snip a bit of “Smoke On The Water”. ((((6))))) Spacey, psych, heavy 70’s druggy rock (((((7))))) Strummy, melodic vocals, catchy & trippy. Layers of distortion that walk over a lot of metal bands. ((((8)))) Slow, doomed psych/folk rock, kinda a total downer version of Dino Jr.’s “The Wagon”. | ||
