Post-bop with heavy African-music influence. Lots of variety here, from creative jazz to near-"World" music to gospel. See also her other excellent album, "Afrika Rising." 1- Busy and bustling 2- Like an African folk tune, brassy and casually mid/fast 3- Midtempo funky strut 4- Gospel chant and harmony singing 5- Quiet African groove w/vocal 6- Celestial swirling 7- Slow and swaying, lots of cello 8- Jaunty swing in 7/4 9- Sunny township feel 10- Mid/fast chaotic swirl, a bit circus-like 11- A capella gospel 12- Jazz vocals, cocktail R&B 13- Mid/fast, nice percussive feel | ||
