Digitally restored and remastered not so known Jazz/Ragtime/Blues/Gospel recordings from known artists recorded along 30 years (~1930-1960) in the Hot Club De France in Paris. Featuring artists such as Louis Armstrong, Memphis Slim, etc. Lots of gems. In some tracks, you can feel like you're in the club. Try 2,3,5,7 and 12. 1) Piano boogie. *2) Sister Rosetta Tharpe and a guitar. A beautiful Blues classic. *3) A beautiful ragtime piece that sounds very appropriate for an old movie background music. 4) Jewell Brown sings Georgia on my mind. Armstrong on trumpet. *5) A lazy New Orleans Jazz piece 6) Louis Armstrong sings "Blueberry Hill". **7) A beautiful swing piece with Bill Coleman on the trumpet and the New Orelans Dippers accompanying him. Very Woody Allen. People talking in the background. 8) Boogie Woogie (Sung by Memphis slim). 9) Tea for two, piano. 10) Sweet Loraine. Trumpet and piano. 11) Saint Louis Blues- Jewell Brown sings with Louis Armstrong on the trumpet. *12) Sister Rosetta Tharpe and the guitar- Gospel. Some hand clapping. |
