Sacramento spazz noise rock faves. Always consistent with ultra-high energy nuclear blasts of drums/bass/guitars, this new release ratchets up the synth and samples a notch, making it more listenable and interesting than previous releases (imho). All good, all insane, all pretty similar in structure and tone (difficult to do a track-by-track review), so just play any (except FCCs cd 1: tracks 6, 12)
CD1: Church Gone Wild
1) loopy echoey noise, words
2) crazy noisy driving
3) voices, actual "singing", nice noise ending
4) slower more stoney rock feel
5) more creative, looping noise
6) FCC in intro
7) disjunct
8) interesting, cool sample over drum loops, noisy, avante, cymbal build ending
9) spastic but cool, vocals
10) nice noise collage, looping ending
11) noise collage almost, cool
12) FCCs
CD2: Chirpin Hard
1) near silly electrorock
2) a tad proggier, almost technical feeling, still spazzy
3) a bit more drivin rock, cool electronics, less spazzed
4) upbeat nice
5) bashout
6) slower, epic ride cymbal beat
7) upbeat, almost indie rock feel with acoustic guitars and higher pitched chords and melodies
8) strange electro-rock intro grows twisted and noisy
9) somewhat chill jam
10) lots of noisy synth and proggy drums
11) spazzy strange
12) almost 70's-80's electrorock rhythm, silly, ends with noise after 3.5 min, then about 30 seconds of silence followed by strange slow electro near sample art, false ending after ~11 min, then silence
until ending (why do this stupid shit?)
