Swedish duo; a tiny voice like Joanna Newsom or the girl from Squirrel Nut Zippers singing; much of it is groovy tiki/lounge music sweetly filtered through a zen garden. (Ok, not all, but I really wanted to write that.) A muted, vibralicious mix of mello synths plus jungly percussion like congas and shakers. Moves through several styles: big band, brassy funk, or spacy trance --but all synth, and filtered through a groovy haze. All good stuff.
1. (2:40) delicate intricate rhythms, sunny organ & churchbells
2. (2:44) upbeat, like a major-key tango; latin-y perc.
3. (3:15) soulful, reaching, slower waltz--like a power lounge ballad
*4. (3:16) flirtatious and on the prowl (has syncopated monkey noises!) cascading flutes, vibraphone-conga-licious.
*5. (1:26) old-timey muted Glen-Miller-big-band sound
*6. (3:45) dark and fun-KAY. brass and groovy flute. Sassy.
*7. (3:26) (**FCC--”fucked,” subtle) slow crooning, and dreamy oom-pah-pah on piano (bg synth orchestra)
8. (2:59) becomes loungy finger-snappin’ groove--whistlin’ (think Sinatra)
9. (2:30) Cool, daddy-o. beatnik bongos and choral dah-doo-DAI-da da’s.
10. (3:31) fast trancey perc, spacy echoed vox, ominous aaahhs
11. (5:23) slow, echoing, breathy; pulsing strings and strange bells, like a soundtrack to a space movie
