Solo piano; soft traditional jazz. Heartwarming quiet-evening music. All tracks are originals, possibly improvised, but have the feeling of old standards. The pieces do feel like "ruminations" as the CD title suggests -- a well traveled old cat reflecting out loud on the piano.

Most tracks have a relaxed, ambling, mid/slow feel.

A few highlights:

1- Mid/slow. Floaty, cinematic intro
3- Upbeat
4- Slowish, with a nice bounce to it
6- Upbeat, nice bluesy feel
9- Bright and fluttery
12- Snappy blues romp
