Track One: Lush, horns and piano intro into track 2.
Track Two: Sounds very alt. rock. Amazing orchestra backing behind traditional pop rock sound. Midtempo. End gets a little space rock-y.
*Track Three: opens very space-y and experimental. Nice horn improv Along with everything else that’s going on. Slow. Instrumental. End floats into acoustic guitar with piano. Swells to full more traditional orchestra and then puts acoustic guitar in front. It’s hard to explain
*Track Four: Nice acoustic. More folk sounding. Pretty guitars. Fast but not upbeat. Adds drums and picks up a bit. Horns make a bit more happy. Great guitar solo.
*Track Five: Starts with piano and guitar. Midtempo. GREAT lyrics. Transitions in styles from verse to verse. Antiwar/destruction hymn. Long. Heartbreaking end.
Track Six: Upbeat intro. Fast. Cool guitar. Vox is a little more raspy.
Track Seven: Pretty acoustic, simple, or less instrumentals, I guess. A little depressing.
Track Eight: Very hymn like. Acoustic guitar swells and takes over with strings, not as lush but very pretty in it’s simplicity.
*Track Nine: Cute piano. Handclapping! And then giant chorus. What? Lyrics go against upbeat melody but so awesome.
*Track Ten: Opens with fast vocals. Makes you want to get up and dance. A little bit of Queen on the piano there.
Track Eleven: A little more rock. With the driving guitars. Voice is a little more mellow. They do a really good job of blending with the style their playing in. Cool horns.
Track Twelve: Starts out a little space rock-y. Yay! Then pop with video-game-ish keyboard. Cute. Seems a little more mainstream. Despite the space-y rock.
*Track Thirteen: V. pretty opener with piano and guitar. And strings. Oh the strings. Mellow, gorgeous song about decay.
Track Fourteen: Nice piano opener. Weird whispering sounds in the background, sounds good. Epic Guitar solo. Or guitar repetition. Or whatever. Electronic-y musings at the end.
*Track Fifteen: Upbeat, a little sixties, country-ish. V. Nice instrumental. Vocals at the end.
*Track Sixteen: Very pretty piano. Lush and gorgeous.
