Marduk - Plague Angel (Candlelight/Regain) Swedish Black Metal and lately one of the best of bigger Swede BM bands. Totally pummelling Black Fucking Metal more bombast than histronics-but some nice slow parts as well. New vocalist Mortuus - (not Mortiis) sounds really intense.
((((1)))) Slow classical cello intro then - total fucking BM bombast attack. This is about Richard Heydrich, one of the architechs of the Final Solution in WWII.
(((2)))) Nice breakdowns but not too different fromt the last track.
(((((3))))) MASSIVE blackened doom sound. Severely heavy stuff !
((((4)))) Relentless, blasting BM.
((((5)))) No let up - hyperspeeding with killer growing vocals & occasionally slowed thudding.
((((6)))) Slow, doomed & winding.
((((7)))) More OTT blasting but with interesting guitar tone & vocals.
(((8))) Standard fare bombastic BM.
((((9)))) Military march looped, occasionally percussion & dark ambience. Sounds like something In Slaughter Natives or Brighter Death Now might do.
((((10)))) Back to the ultra-fast BM - none too different from the others but the simple riffs & vocals are a winner.
((11)) OK, I think we get it - fast as fuck BM & lyrics about WWII - like that hasn’t been done yet?
