Your Imaginary Friend

“Rockin” singer/songwriter indie rock. Heavy guitar, bass and drums with an occasional synth, male vocals that are melodic and have harmonies in all the right places. Relies on every cliché and rock’ism you’ve ever heard since about 1989, tired boring stuff sure to please your mommy when she tunes in. Songs midway lose some pretention but at best reinvent Pavement. Like you cant swing a dead cat and hit a band doing that.

1) tired melodies, same old hooks
2) head nodding rock, interesting synth tones
3) rock riff that sounds Seattle
4) swingy darker bluesy rock feel
5) sparser ballady
6) offkey vocs, filler
7) more garagey and bouncy 80’s feel, offkey vocs but less slick
8) 70’s cock rockin passing off as indie
9) simple riffage
10) tired hook, melody
11) train chugga beat makes this one different
12) vocal melody hooks, upbeat driving rock continues
13) some 70’s metalish guitar chords happening here, yawn
14) more of the same
