Monsterous, crushing & pissed off death metal done the REAL way. Somehow they manage to successfully combine the well-played fields of the brutal/fast and the melodic/catchy. Lyrically mostly personal & political but no emowhiner shit. Just wicked wallopping Swedish influenced fuckin’ death metal with decent METALcore.bits. ...and they’re from Walnut Creek! (((1))) Fast, raging brutal DM, a few nods to the metalcore thud, too much ‘sprinkler system’ speed drumming, tho’. ((((2)))) Classic & classy sounding massive DM ‘ala Dismember meets Heaven Shall Burn. (FCC “FUCK” 1:13) ((((3)))) Thudding & crushing, mid-paced to speedy with nice melodic death stylee. GREAT drumming! (FCC “FUCKING” 3:50 & 3:58) (((((4))))) Really crazy barrage, THICK riffage like the Relapse/Nuke Blast bands circa: ‘90-’92. Sick breakdowns & a lot of beatdowns & thrashups. ((((5)))) Runs dangerously close to getting tired & cliched BUT saved but varation in the brutality. (((6))) NYC thug-metal beatdown (FCC) thrashin’ death with nice catchy riffing. (FCC “shit” 1:30) (((7))) Slow death/doom ‘ala Incantation, later-era Bolt Thrower mixed with the At The Gates formula. A little too reliant on that & the Slayer nod also nixes points. ((((8)))) Unstoppable, ravaging thrashing death gallop to hell! To paraphrase Venom: dance (the audio) warhead...fast of slow. | ||
