Canadian/Japanese duo that use turntables mic’ed and treated to create glitchy noise collage onslaughts like noneother. Second in what appears to be a series (the first one made the afile earlier this year). This stuff you’ll find performed in major municipal art spaces as well as underground noise fests (and I suspect that it was all culled from live performances in such venues). True experimentalism, avante, stretching the definitions of music and art. Definitely “analog glitch” in that this is all turntablism. Great stuff, most tracks similar so just pick any really.
1) very glitchy and noisey, like a turntable and cd player about to explode, crazy loud bursts, dynamics, noise drones at end
2) starts with scratchy record sound, builds with a more sparse noisey approach
3) noise looping, knocing, pounding, sparse but noisey as hell
4) more noise, sparse subliminal feel but still noisey, very quiet fade out so careful at end
5) slowed record sample to start, this one contains more dicernable record samples which gives it a more organic feel, sparse, not as harsh, cool stuff
6) more glitchy distorto messes
7) more glitchy zaniness, chill ending
8) even more random of a feel, longer track, squeals and glitches and blurps build and build
9) louder, sounds like timbling down an endless flight of stairs locked in a wooden crate
