The Rogers Sisters – Les Fantaisies Sont Bien (Troubleman)
Two track CD of art rock/no wave sung in French. Two songs from the “Three Fingers” EP completely re-recorded and sung in different languages. More minimal and playful than their other releases. The bass and vocals lead the way on these very danceable rock tracks. Yea ESG and the B52s are probably the starting points. NYC trio and they are sisters.
1. A French version of a track that appeared on their EP, “Three Fingers”. It comes across a little funny, including mellow backing vocals, uncomfortable sax solo, and French of "When fantasies are bad! They are humiliating!"
**2. This track is a version of “45 Prayers” from the same EP, sung in Japanese by the bassist. Poppy with nice guitar.
