The Orange Peels

Sunny, formulaic pop with a 60’s sound. Not if you are looking for anything out of the ordinary, but it is all mostly likable. Reminded me a lot of St. Ettiene. The second half of the album is weaker (or maybe I just got bored).

* (1) Mod sound.
(2) Strumming guitars. Male vox. California pop.
(3) Faster tempo, heavier guitar sound. Blink182 influence.
* (4) Jangly guitar, pop sensibility.
* (5) Harmonica, harmonies, and pop lyrics.
(6) Pop ballad, cheesy guitar, inane lyrics “so this is goodbye”. C’mon, puhlease.
(7) Upbeat, head-nodding brit pop meets surf rock.
(8) (9) (10) Sorry, I really did try to do this track by track, but it all just sounds like ordinary pop.
