Local garage band, somewhat 60’s influenced. Think
Blues Magoos or the Stooges, not Beatles. Rather
sloppy playing and crappy vocals, like garage bands
are supposed to have. Pretty much all tracks uptempo,
hard rock, simple musical form, two guitars, bass,
drum, male vocal with fake Detroit accent. Mostly all
sounds the same, frankly, so it doesn’t matter too
much which you choose. Which is not to say it sounds
BAD, just no variety to speak of.
This CD makes a loud hum in my computer CD drive –
suggest you check to make sure it doesn’t do so on the
air!
FCCs on track 4 and 10, per label. Best tracks
probably 1, 7, 12 and 5.
1. ** Straightforward garage rock, somewhat
interesting subject matter.
2. Much the same sound, song of frustration with his
“Little Girl”, picks up tempo even more towards the
end.
3. Same sound and pretty much the same subject as the
last one. Feedback at end.
4. FCCs, which is a bit of a shame, as it’s mildly
musically diverting with a perty good guitar solo for
the genre.
5. * Something about “Radio waves”, interesting
ending.
6. Kinda whiny lyrics and not entirely successful
drumming.
7. **All about living in a crappy neighborhood – not
bad stuff.
8. Oh, the teen angst of it all…
9. Tempo changes! Other than that, pretty much the
same stuff.
10. “Mother fucker” near end. Again, not a bad song
otherwise.
11. Pointless cover of a song that’s been done well
many times.
12. **VERY garage-y. Punky subject.
