Michigan based black/death/speed metal soldiers of hell. Rather huge sound overall. The big sound comes from the stellar James Murphy production. These dudes use bits of old Immortal, Morbid Angel, Kreator and Marduk. If you like ANY kind of extreme metal you SHOULD like this! On the downside a little too much use of bad pinch harmonics but otherwise just fine.
((1)) Yer standard extreme metal intro.
(((2))) Big Morbid Angel/Marduk/old Immortal blasting. Pretty solid speed/death/black metal.
(((((3)))))) Killer, rhythmic bombast & thrashin’ annihilation metal.
((((4)))) Good use of stop/start and basic 80’s speed metal gallop, even the pinch harmonics don’t sound bad.
(((5))) Monstrous riffing and beats, ultra-speed metal, no points for the annoying harmonics tho’. (FCC “Fucking”)
(((((6))))) HUGE and Heeeavvy! Pummeling, rapid fire beats but varied changes keep it enticing.
(((7))) Mostly 90’s black/death combo that doesn’t really go anywhere.
((((8)))) Seriously tight riff/drum interplay. Immortal/Deicide unholy battering. Severe!
(((9))) Snarling thrash but draws too close from the preceding songs.
((((10)))) FCCs ALL OVER – AVOID! Damn shame ‘cause this is a GREAT drunken thrasher that rips off Kreator’s “Tormentor”
((((11)))) Giant, epic jabs of cycling riff heavy death, black & insane speed metal. Serious Trey Azagothisms on the guitars. Ends with a bunch of dark ambient sounds.
