The Bawd Of Euphony Reviewed 2005-08-15 | ||
This is a fucking GREAT collection assembled by Karl Blau to help celbrate this year’s What-The-Heckfest which takes place up in Anacordes Wa.. I’ll explain: What-The-Heck is an anual festival put on by the Anacortes record label Know-Yr-Own records and features basically one giant group of friend which includes many K records all stars. Kelp! Is a monthly CD-R music series put together by K and Know-Yr-Own veteran Karl Blau. This cd is the 19th Kelp release and features amazing songs by Mount Eerie, Calvin Johnson, Little Wings, Mecca Normal, Kimya Dawson, D+, Dennis Driscal + Many more. Songs range from Lo-Fi pop to Anti-Folk to Punk to Avant Hip Hop. This CD highlights the amazing talent that exists up there in the Pacific Northwest music scenes. So many choices to play, so much weirdness and beauty, I love it! -tHE bAWD oF eUPHONy CD 1 1**(2:37) Poison Dart: Simple fem pop stomp, uplifting with great chorus’. 2*(3:19) The Graves: Cool percussion, acoustic folk-country twang.
