Piano trio in a setting akin to the ECM label: heavy jazz elements but lots of free-floating passages in a brainy, aggressive style. With Steve Swallow on bass -- often sounding more like a guitar, as per usual -- and Bob Moses on drums. Nice stuff and not necessarily relaxing.

- Mellow feel that gets fierce later on. Soft start w/bass
- Fast solo piano running through tons of rich jazz phrases
- Bright, mid/fast exploration in a 19-minute slab. Tips the balance more towards free jazz than regular jazz. Cools off near +6:00 but builds back up. Really nice.
- Fast and quirky, after a long wandering start.
- Mid/fast ECM-style free jazz
- Straight bop, strong, upbeat, mid/fast
- Scattery jungle groove; playing inside the piano
- Mid/fast straight bop, nice swing
- Big, slow, loud. Crashing like waves.
