Solo instrumentals from yet another kora virtuoso from the Diabate family of Mali. Djibril is nephew (and student of) Toumani Diabate. This release features traditional Griot pieces played with great dexterity. Not quite the emotional power of his uncle yet, but this is solid release featuring strong playing throughout. Mostly midtempo & all rather relaxing.

*1. Sweet, melodic, low-key and very soothing.
2. Light, bright, joyous. Midtempo.
*3. A catchy little bounce drives this sweet midtempo track.
4. Relaxed and eventually a bit hypnotic.
5. Midtempo, w/nice variation in rhythm & good string work.
6. Gently peaceful. A sweet, flowing sound.
*7. Nicely played, a good example of his sound. Again, midtempo.
8. Bright, with a light feeling
9. Midtempo and warm w/a nice sense of melody.
*10. Happy w/a gentle catchiness. Mid.
