Madagascar is the 4th largest island in the world. A mix of music with roots instruments from many ethnic groups in styles influenced by many cultures. Valiha ( a tubular zither ). Marovany (a suitcase sized box with two sets of strings on each side) ****1: 4: 43 FAST FAST male voc, fem chorus HIGH energy bass, percussion & sax 2: 2:10 slow tempo, choral vocal, plucked strings, nice soft folklore sound. *3: 3:47 mid tempo, fem vocal, beautiful voice, perc & bass ***4: 4:11 FAST FAST male voc, cool plucked strings & perc. **5: 4:42 fast male voc and fem chorus, guitar & perc. 6: 4:34 mid to fast plucked strings INSTRUMENTAL 7: 4:46 mellow fem vocal ***8: 4:03 cool bowed strings and scat style vocals. mid to fast *9: 5:00 mid to fast male vocal and strumming.
