Album Review

German heavy metal/core with some melodic emo-ish breakdowns. The melodic emo parts are pretty typical but the sheer heaviness of this album puts aside notions of the band totally crapping out. Dunno what it is but the Germans often do this better than almost anyone else. Not tremendous but surpsingly intense in places you wouldn't expect.
((1)) Sample of a storm (starts REAL quiet) & acoustic guitar intro.
((2)) LOUD as hell & charging ‘ala Unearth. Danger: awful emo breakdown starting at 2:15. (FCC “FUCKING ANGRY 2:55)
((((3))) Battering death/thrash. Undead zombie poodle DM growling. Minimal amount of emo and much more brutal.
(((4))) This works if you can weed out the slight whiney (but not as bad as most) emo-y parts but the main riff is what makes it interesting.
(((5))) Baseball bat to the face riffing & ugly thug vocals. Lots of good low-end.
((6)) Excellent chugging riff and a cookie-monsterish “Go!” but the rest gets mediocre REAL fast. Everything else is just a confusing mix of death-core & nu-metal. Ugh!
(((7))) Thrashy death metal, drill press precision 1-2 pummeling. Pretty typical but heavy as hell.
(((8)))) Lots of good variation – the slow beatdowns fight it out with the thashy slaughterin’ parts.
((9)) Pretty good riffs, typical & annoying/obvious vocals.
((10)) Acoustic guitar with a movie sample. Reminds me of an overlong intro to many a 80s metal album.
(((((11))))) Thrashin’ death metal with odd doomy breakdowns like Katatonia. Awesome!
