Album Review
The Bawd Of Euphony
Reviewed 2005-11-14
Leyna Noel sells apples. Seriously, she does. How appropriate that fact becomes when you listen to her music. These songs are offerings of something organic & pure. Individual gifts filled with the knowledge of life and death, love and loss, playing like the inner dialogue of someone walking alone with much to ponder. “Voluptuary” is filled with moody melodies, weaved together by Leyna’s beautiful voice, soft guitar work and stunning piano playing. Her songs go through movements, breathing and pulling its gorgeous air into your lungs and releasing it through memories of the past present and future. Take a bite, expose yourself and give in. –tHE bAWd oF eUPHONy

1**(4:00) soft, almost organ like clean electric guitar with beautiful moody vocals. Has the quality of an old record. Simple & Beautiful.
2* (1:58) Upbeat pop gem. Full band joins in. Cool changes. Sweet.
3**(3:23) Strummed electric guitar and vocals. Moody with dissonance.
4**(4:00) Beautiful piano movements with vocals. Great melodies. A favorite.
5**(5:38) A trilogy Cool! Simple piano and vox , moody and beautiful. Some cello as well. Great movements. Another favorite.
6**(1:34) Quick instrumental. Very Cool. Think stripped down Sketches of Spain.
7* (0:24) solo vox, real quick
8**(6:04) deep and dark piano. Has a requiem feel to it (whatever that means). Great piano movements shift again, very beautiful. Vox enter. Shifts to major/Beatles song feel. Great!
9* (0:25) Quick solo vox
10**(5:05) One of her standout tracks. Rolling piano and spirited vox. Some cool instrumentation enters later. Beautiful Beautiful!
11**(4:40) Moody guitar, slow & bare. Cool simple drums enter leaving plenty of space for Leyna’s words to tell. Love it! Another standout track if ya ask me.
12**(2:26) Simple piano and vocals. Great album closer. Cool vocal treatments. Love it!
